On Thursday, September 16, I went to a SASC reading workshop. The purpose of this workshop was to give students new methods to combat the copious amount of reading assigned in college. During this workshop we went over the Bain reading and worked through different ways to approach the reading.
This workshop was helpful because it gave me new ways to think about and approach the reading I have to do. We went over how to figure out what the most important areas of a reading are and how skimming can be helpful to get things done quickly when you are under a time crunch. I was also introduced to SASC and how helpful the organization can be. SASC is definitely a resource that I can see myself using in the future.
