Etchings were the third type of printing we did. These etchings, typically done on metal, were carved on plastic. Etchings are a type of printmaking that allows the artist to get more details in their work. I would like to try etching with metal instead of plastic. I found the plastic difficult to manipulate and I wonder if it would be easier to get smoother lines on metal.
