Mono Printing was the first type of printing we did this year. In mono printing, each print is unique. Unlike with most other printing techniques, it is almost impossible to replicate them. I personally didn’t like mono printing that much. This type of printing lacked a certain level of control that I like to have. In many ways it felt like a “lets put something down and see what happens” type of art than anything else. Regardless, it was nice to start with an easy type of printing and get progressively more challenging as the class went on.

The mono prints featured above were based off of the prompt “greatest fear.” I chose to do my prints around the idea of being lost alone in the woods.
