Paper 1:

On my original draft I did not have anything marked for local revision; however, upon adding to my paper I made some punctuation mistakes that I did not catch in my final read through. Overall, I like to think that I am fairly good with punctuation and grammar. Spelling has always been a struggle for me but is something I always try to check when I feel unsure. I focused a lot the past few years on bettering my understanding of sentence structure and tense, but I know there is more to work on.

Paper 2:

I am finding a pattern of struggling with clarity in my writing. I had a few sections that needed to be tied back together in order to fully develop the meaning of what I was trying to say. I also still had a few local revisions that could have been easily fixed with another read through. I should remember to do a close reading before submitting to find those mistakes.

Comma Use in Paper 2:

I did not have any comments about my use of commas in this paper. Throughout high school I worked really hard on knowing when a comma or (especially) a semicolon should be used. it is something i struggled with, so it is something that I feel like I have down pretty well now. My mom is a former english teacher so she was a big help in learning when to, and not to, use a comma or semicolon.
